Nicola Henderson '20

I studied biology at Oxy and was very lucky to be involved in student research. While I loved being in the lab, I decided that I didn't want to be on the bench forever. I went on to hold two marketing internships in biotech startups in the Boston area, where I discovered my love of the commercial end of the life sciences industry. I think this ultimately drew me to starting a sales role at the company where I work now, Thermo Fisher. I currently work in building and maintaining business with the Ohio State University, and act as a business liaison between our suppliers and customers. I want to be a part of the mentor network because there are so many options for STEM majors to find a career in the sciences without doing lab work, and being on the business end still allows you to directly make an impact on scientific research!
