Bio:

I grew up overseas and went to high school in Rye, NY. I visited Oxy, fell in love and ended up applying ED. I majored in DWA (tried to get a minor in Studio Art but couldn't take all the classes). After graduation I worked at marketing firm for non-profits in Pasadena. I decided to go back to school to get a Masters in International Development. I love my International Political Economy and International Trade Theory classes so much that I ended changing my degree to Global Finance, Trade and Economic Integration. After I graduated I started a consulting job at Deloitte as a Business Technology Analyst. I am currently in this role living in Chicago.

Career Advice:

Make sure to network. It helps you get a feel for different fields and is so helpful in getting your foot in the door. Almost all of the internships and jobs I've had have been through networking. It's not awkward at all to ask someone to chat over coffee or the phone - people love talking! Don't get discouraged if you don't hear back from a couple companies. Keep applying, keep reaching out and be yourself!
