Bio:
Following Oxy, I completed my PhD at UCLA studying how a type of cancer called lymphoma becomes resistant to chemotherapy. I then returned to Oxy as a non-tenure track professor, where I taught intro through advanced level biology classes and participated in research. I currently work as a Staff Scientist/Project Development Scientist at City of Hope. My role is to provide writing support for doctors and research scientists in the Cellular Immunotherapy Center within the Hematologic Malignancies Research Institute.
Career Advice:
Career paths are rarely linear. Don't become so focused on one career option that you miss other potentially amazing opportunities along the way.
