Hi fellow Tigers, my name is Maddie! I graduated in May of 2019 and moved to D.C. a few months later. I worked as a waitress during the ~7 months I was on the job search. I initially wanted to work on the Hill, but over time I pieced together more about what I wanted and ended up with the perfect entry-level job for me, one I wouldn't have considered a year ago. Career Advice:
Don't disqualify yourself from a job! If you think you could do it, apply (within reason, of course.) If you don't have the exact qualifications/ experience needed, let the employer decide if you're qualified - they may see your experience differently than you do.
