Hi Tigers! I graduated from Oxy in 2019 and joined a strategy and operations rotational program at Zillow Group. I interned at a start-up and an asset management firm while in college, and I worked with several businesses and nonprofits as co-president of the Occidental Consulting Group. I know it can be intimidating to translate a liberal arts degree into a corporate job, but I have experience in recruiting and would love to help you navigate that process!
Career Advice:
Oxy isn't lying to you -- companies really do value generalists! Embrace every opportunity to learn something new, even if it seems like it may not directly apply to your career path. Curiosity and the ability to ask well-informed questions will set up you for success.
