Bio:
Hi Tigers! My name is Ashley Leon. Throughout my time at Oxy, I was exposed to many different fields including diplomacy through the UN Program, the law working at the Los Angeles County Superior Courthouse, advocacy by giving a TEDx talk, domestic politics interning for U.S. Senator Feinstein, US-MENA relations with a study abroad through the Critical Languages Scholarship, and journalism with a writing position at the Borgen Project.
True to the Liberal Arts spirit, I studied History with an emphasis on interwar Europe and ended up working in the tech and entertainment industries by landing a job at Netflix as a Policy Escalations Specialist.
My experiences have, indeed, been varied, but all share a heavy emphasis on foreign language, writing, and research skills.

Career Advice:
Don't sell yourself short. When looking at job applications, if you think you can do the job but might be missing some required experience, apply anyway. You'll often find employers are willing to let you learn on the job if you're an exceptional candidate.
