Bio:
I'm originally from the West Coast, and moved to Washington, D.C. after graduating from Oxy. My internships in local and federal government showed me that I love a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and I knew D.C. was the place to focus my job search. I've been a communications staffer in the U.S. House for a few years, and in my current role I write digital and traditional communications, make graphics, manage social media, work with outside groups and press, hire and manage our interns, and support office operations. I'm looking forward to supporting students and recent graduates in their job search, especially those interested in learning more about Capitol Hill!
Career Advice:
First, each experience can show you just as much about what you don't like as what you do like. Second, be a kind, capable, professional sponge. Most of the time, people will remember the impression you left and if you were helpful or not more than a particular piece of work you produced.
