Bio:
I've worked in political communications and operations since graduating Occidental in 2014. Originally I was trying to go into journalism, but a fateful Career Center connection led to an interview that landed me my first job in political direct mail. That eventually led me to Washington D.C., where I have work in the U.S. House of Representatives for the past four years. After navigating the political career job market for many years, want to offer my anecdotes and guidance for other graduates who are interested in a career in politics.

Any interview, informational or for a specific job, should be followed up with a thank you note – hand written if possible. It goes a long way to showing you care about them and the conversation you had.
